Jennifer Harshman

Hello! It’s a pleasure to meet you! My name is Jennifer, and I have always had a lifelong affinity for animals, with dogs holding a special place in my heart. My journey in the pet service industry began in 2005 as a kennel attendant for a doggy daycare and Great Dane breeding facility. I worked there until it began its closing process. Subsequently, I transitioned to PetSmart, initially as a stocker, but quickly transitioned to a dog bather. Within six months of joining PetSmart, I eagerly accepted the opportunity to attend their Dog Grooming Academy in 2007.

This marked the true beginning of my grooming experience, where I learned the ropes and had the opportunity to apply my love for animals creatively. Eventually, I moved away from PetSmart and began working at an independent shop, which further enhanced my expertise. I worked at several different shops within the Denver and Aurora areas in search of my place.

A pivotal moment came when I accepted a position as a dog groomer for a quaint shop located in Wash Park, known as Heavenly Dog. This cozy shop, nestled in an older location in Denver, provided a nurturing environment for my growth. After working there from 2018 to 2019, an opportunity arose for me to purchase the business, which I happily embraced to grow this little shop further. As our clientele expanded, the demand for additional space became evident. Exploring various options, I came across a new location perfectly tailored to meet the evolving needs of Heavenly Dog, providing ample room to accommodate our growing client base.

Through hard work, dedication, and a lot of love, I was able to move to a larger location that allowed us to become what we are today – the family-owned Heavenly Dog grooming shop, located in Glendale off of Leetsdale! I am committed to providing the best experience possible through a relentless pursuit of education. I achieve this by actively engaging in trade shows and networking with fellow groomers within the industry, ensuring that I am always equipped with the latest knowledge and techniques to serve my clients better. We continue to grow and are committed to offering every pup the opportunity to look and feel their best, regardless of age, temperament, disability, or grooming experience.
